Wednesday, March 01, 2006the Bard of the Barometer![]() (this is from Bill's Blog) It’s winter in Michigan, where you never see the sun, The snowman there is shivering, the wind chill’s minus one. Where else do people cross a lake, and think it a delight, To chop down through three feet of ice to find a fish to bite. The heating bill is out of sight, the temperature is not. The forecast calls for freezing rain, the roads have gone to pot. But cheer up, March has come at last, the bugs will be here soon. We’ll see thousands of orange barrels, the ice should melt by June. It’s winter in Michigan, some like it - some do not. My advice: just make the best, of whatever weather we got! …Bill… |
