is it Summer, Spring or Winter?

The weather is creepy, a little exciting, but mostly creepy. Saturday we had sun & very high temps. Then rain. That's when all the tornados went thru the midwest. We only had minor thunderstorms. Then yesterday was warm again, no sun. Cloudy.

Then about 11:00 last night the thunderstorms started again. They rumbled up and down, high and low all night, until a heavier one went thru late morning. Then within a half hour, it was sunny. The temps are rising like an oven. The predicted high today is 68. The overnight low? A bone jarring 27 after temps approaching 70.

This makes me very nervous with the big low pressure approaching from the west, and they're saying the jet stream is converging around it or something, making it a whopper of a cold front bearing down on our Great State.

Michigan Watches & Warnings

To see what I mean, look at these watches & warnings! You need a meteorological color-coded dictionary to figure out what's going on. We have flood watches, flood warnings, flash flood warning, wind advisories, high wind watches, high wind warnings, a tornado watch, a severe thunderstorm watch, some severe thunderstorm warnings (those storms were moving at 80 mph with golf ball sized hail), Winter storm watches have mostly turned into Winter storm warnings or Winter storm advisories.

The temps in the SE corner of the State are upper 60s, while the temperature in the western UP (that's Upper Peninsula for you non-Michiganders) is mid 20s. Is it any wonder the winds are roaring? Constant from 30-40 mph with gusts to 50-60 mph. My dog won't get any farther away from me than a foot. And most of the time her nose is either pressed firmly behind my knee, or her shoulders leaning against me. When I sit down at the computer, she cuddles up behind the chair with one of her feet draped over the chair, I assume so if I wiggle, she will feel/hear it, wake up & go back to pushing her nose or shoulder into my leg. German Shepherds are funny like that. Big brave shepherd supposed to defend you and your property, but inside they are like warm fuzzy teddy bears....

To top it all off with a cherry on top, the arthritis index is listed as extreme. Probably all the stress from all the above watches & warnings combined with the roller coaster pressure & weather....I can't help but wonder if all the people who suffer from migraines will have a real doozy of a headache today. I very rarely suffer from headaches, but I can feel the pressure building or vascillating or something.

Very strange weather day here indeed.
